Wedding Gone Wrong #10 – Michelle’s Story

It’s time for another Wedding Gone Wrong Wednesday!

When it comes to your wedding, you shouldn’t have to worry about the photographer or the pictures he has promised to get. This day should be care-free, relaxing, and easy to enjoy. The headaches and stress from wedding planning are behind you. You should be able to trust your choices and know everything is taken care of. Unfortunately, you won’t get that with every wedding photographer out there. Some of them will seem to have forgotten all of their conversations with you the terms of their agreement clearly defined in the contract.

Here is Michelle’s story:

I hired a photographer for our wedding because he had  great options and a good price. The day of our wedding, he was very rude to my family and friends and would get mad if anyone else was taking pictures, even when he wasn’t taking any. We got married in a church and then had a reception at a different location. Right after the ceremony, he took off. We had no one there to take pictures of us with our families and no one to take pictures of us signing our license.

His contract states that we should get 3 CD’s of all of the wedding pictures within 4-8 weeks along with a copyright release so we could print pictures if we wanted. I got one CD about 15 weeks after our wedding. I looked over the CD and there were a ton of pictures missing that I knew he took. Then on some of the pictures they had this dark border on them and I asked him if the pictures were like that and he said he added it. I asked him for the original pictures because I didn’t like the border and he said that it made the picture look better so he wouldn’t take it off. Since then I haven’t been able to get a hold of him. We also never received the albums we were promised.
